Purpose

AceMatch is a service connecting high school and college varsity tennis players with families seeking affordable coaching for young athletes. This contract outlines the expectations, responsibilities, and legal obligations of the tennis coach while participating in the AceMatch program. By signing, the tennis coach agrees to uphold the standards set forth for the safety, development, and well-being of all youth athletes they coach.

Coach Responsibilities

The Coach agrees to:

Code of Conduct

The Coach agrees to:

• Maintain professionalism at all times during communication and sessions.
• Avoid any form of inappropriate behavior or contact with minors.
• Comply with all relevant state and federal laws concerning the safety and welfare of minors.
• Not coach under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any other impairing substance.
• Notify AceMatch of any scheduling issues or cancellations at least 24 hours in advance, when possible.

Background Check & Verification

To ensure the safety of minors, AceMatch reserves the right to request ID verification, school enrollment confirmation, and tennis team membership proof.

Liability Waiver

The Coach acknowledges and agrees that:

• They are participating as an independent volunteer or contractor, not as an employee of AceMatch.
• They assume full responsibility for their conduct and actions during coaching sessions.
• AceMatch is not liable for any injury, loss, or claim arising from negligence or misconduct during a coaching session.

Termination

AceMatch reserves the right to suspend or terminate a tennis coach's participation in the platform if:

• There is a breach of this contract.
• A complaint is received regarding unsafe, inappropriate, or unprofessional behavior.
• The Coach fails to meet the expectations outlined herein.

Parent Responsibilities

The parent agrees to:

• Provide accurate contact, emergency, and location information, including the ZIP code for scheduling purposes.
• Coordinate with the Coach to confirm times, dates, and locations for each coaching session.
• Ensure their child arrives on time, properly dressed, and ready to participate.
• Communicate any special needs, medical concerns, or behavioral considerations to the Coach in advance.
• Be reachable during the session and available in case of an emergency.
• Refrain from interfering with coaching unless safety or behavior issues arise.

Child Participant Expectations

The parent agrees to ensure that the participant:

• Respects the Coach, follows instructions, and behaves appropriately on court.
• Refrains from using offensive, aggressive, or unsafe behavior.
• Brings their own water, sunscreen, and any personal gear needed.
• Understands that this is a learning opportunity, not a formal competitive program.

Understanding Our Coach Program

AceMatch connects families with talented student-athletes who are passionate about sharing their tennis knowledge and skills. Our coaches are current high school and college varsity players who bring enthusiasm and fresh perspectives to coaching, though they are not licensed professional instructors.

Each coach commits to providing a structured and safe learning environment, coming equipped with tennis balls, rackets, and thoughtfully prepared lesson plans. They operate within a 30-minute radius of your location to ensure convenient access to quality coaching. While we maintain high standards for professionalism and safety, and reserve the right to remove coaches who don't meet our expectations, we want families to understand that tennis development is a personal journey, and individual results may vary based on many factors including effort, natural ability, and consistent practice.

Safety and Responsibility

Tennis is an active sport that brings joy, fitness, and skill development to participants. Like all physical activities, tennis sessions carry inherent risks including the possibility of injury from running, swinging rackets, or ball contact. By enrolling your child in our program, you acknowledge these natural aspects of the sport and voluntarily accept responsibility for your child's participation.

While our coaches are trained to prioritize safety and will take reasonable action in emergency situations, AceMatch operates as a connection platform rather than a direct service provider. We are not liable for injuries, accidents, property loss, or unforeseen incidents that may occur during coaching sessions, as these interactions are between families and independent student-athlete coaches.

Scheduling and Communication

We believe that respect for everyone's time creates the best coaching experience. When life requires schedule changes, we ask families to provide at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling, except in genuine emergency situations. This courtesy allows coaches to adjust their schedules and potentially help other families who might need that time slot.

While we understand that unexpected situations arise occasionally, patterns of repeated last-minute cancellations or no-shows can disrupt the coaching relationship and may result in temporary suspension from our platform to ensure fairness for all participants.

Termination

This agreement is effective from the date signed and remains in place while the child is enrolled. AceMatch reserves the right to suspend or terminate participation at its discretion for violations of the above terms.
